## Object Work

Improvisers don't use props. But it is very fun and valuable to be able to portray the use of any object, and to draw the environment around you in the imagination of your audience.

<Collapsible title="The Ball of Clay">

- Picture an imaginary ball of clay in your hands. The clay is magic, you can build any object out of it.
- Mime shaping the clay into an object, and then mime using this object (no speaking). Hand this imaginary object to the next player.
- The next player has to guess what object you have made, and then make their own object.

- Start with a suggestion for an activity ("Fixing watches", "washing puppies", "doing a chemistry experiment", "cooking").
- Do a scene where you convincingly mime doing this activity, while talking about something not related to this activity.

- Start with a suggestion for a location ("circus", "garage", "antique store", etc).
- Do a scene in this location. Before you speak your next line, you must always mime doing some activity in this location. So every time it's your turn to speak, you need to mime a new activity.
